Anushka, who hit the jackpot in Kollywood with her dubbed film Arundathi and Suriya’s Singam, is all set to work in another Tamil film. The film is titled Rani Rudhrama Devi and will be directed by Gunasekhar. It will be a biopic of Rani Rudrama Devi, who was one of the most prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, being one of the few ruling queens in Indian history known for her bravery and valiance.
The film will be a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Director Gunasekhar who gave the dud Varudu starring Allu Arjun and Arya has recovered from the bad reviews and will kick-start this project soon. The movie will be made with a whopping budget of 40 crores. Anushka is currently the hot property in both Tollywood as well as Kollywood and is now awaiting the release of Vaanam which is the remake of the hit Telugu film Vedam. She is also shooting for director Vijay’s film with Vikram, which is tentatively titled as Deiva Magan. Hope Anushka steals the show this year too.
