A movie named Sengadal has been rejected by the Censor Board for even certification. The film is said to be based on the Sri Lankan wars and problems faced by Tamil fishermen in the Indian Ocean and speaks elaborately about the injustice done by the Sri Lankan Army against the Eelam and Indian Tamils.
The Board came to this decision after watching only the preview of the movie. With the censors refusing to certify it, the film will not release in Chennai. The director of the film, Leena Manimekalai is certainly not pleased and accused the double standards of the Censor Board. She claims that the movie is entirely based on facts and has nothing against the LTTE.
