At a time when Ilaya Thalapathy’s fans are eagerly awaiting the release of their matinee idol’s Kaavalan for Pongal, here comes a dampener in the form of a resolution from Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association. According to this, the association will not extend any form of co-operation to Kaavalan and also to any of Vijay’s films in future.
This comes in the wake of losses suffered by theatre owners with Vijay’s last film Sura which forced them to seek compensation from the star but their demand was not treated favorably. This has led the association to convene a meeting under the aegis of its vice-president R. Narayanasamy Naidu which decided not to extend any kind of cooperation to Kaavalan.
