Not
one to beat around the bush, Gautham
Menon is quite vociferous in his opinion
about his contemporaries. In an interview
to a tabloid, Gautham noted that he
didn’t understand why Sasi Kumar
is being celebrated as the greatest
director. “I thought the movie
was okay but there was no reason to
justify violence and bloodshed. There’s
no doubt that he’s done a good
job but that doesn’t make him
the best,” he added. Gautham
also said that he faces questions
as to why his movies lack nativity
following films like Subramaniapuram.
“What if characters in my movie
speak English? Don’t we all?”
questioned Gautham.
Talking about Ameer, Gautham said
that it was unbecoming of him to do
a film like Yogi based on another
famous movie. “We don’t
need an Ameer to do such a thing.
Anybody can do that,” Gautham
was quoted as saying. |
