Lawrence who initiated talks with the
producer-director Shakthi Chidambaram, to
entrust Karunas with the job. Karunas, before
venturing into the film industry, was conducting
a music troupe and hence he had the requisite
experience, it was felt by all those concerned.
Speaking about his new role, Karunas said
that he will score music for films if good
offers came by but would continue to concentrate
on acting.
