Vijay's
Pongal release Villu opened today
amidst frenzied fans with theaters
bursting at the seams. Fan club members
brought the first copy of the film
in a decorated chariot (after pooja
in a temple in K K Naga)r to Kamala
Theater in Vadapalani.
The event was followed by distribution
of sweets and clothes to the needy
by
Vijay's fathe, director S A Chandrasekhar.
The film roll was sent inside the cinema
hall after the customary festivities of
fan club members. Villu opens all over Tamil
Nadu today, two days ahead of the Tamil
harvest festival Pongal.
