Sun Pictures has acquired the Dhanush starrer Padikathavan! A unit of Sun TV Network, Sun Pictures, forayed into the film industry in a big way with the massive success of Kadhalil Vizhunden. The film went on to become a huge hit, thanks to the publicity created by the Sun TV.

Padikathavan, which was produced

by Vijaya Productions, was acquired by Sun Pictures after discussions proved to be fruitful to both the parties. Insiders, however, say that it was decided well before to handover the rights to Sun Pictures and it was due to this the producers did not spend much on the promos. With Sun Pictures taking over Padikathavan, it is now assured that it will do all it can to promote the film, say our sources.
