A decade or so earlier, renowned writer
Sujatha’s novel En Iniya Iyandira
was a rage among sci-fi lovers when it was
serialized in a weekly magazine. Later the
small screen adaptation of the novel also
managed to cause a stir when it was telecast
on DD. With Sujatha being an indispensable
member of the Shankar stable, there are
possibilities of the director drawing inspiration
from En Iniya Iyandira for Superstar’s
next magnum opus, Robot.

ground work has already begun, with the
likelihood of this sci-fi Tamil epic hitting
the floors right after Rajinikanth’s
commitment to Kuselan is over.
