A Tamil comedy goes to Hindi

Siddique is a renowned Malayalam director who has made a mark in Kollywood with films like Friends, Engal Anna etc. He packages serious message wrapped in light comedy which reaches audience very well. After the Vijayakanth starrer Engal Anna, he took a sabbatical from Tamil films and went on to Tollywood to spread his wings. His Sathyam Sivam Sundaram could not hit the theatres due to some problems.

He has now remade the story of this Telugu film into a Tamil flick called Sadhu Miranda with Prasanna and Kavya Madhavan in lead roles which is complete and would be released on the 1st of February.

Meanwhile Siddique has been approached by a Bollywood firm to remake Sadhu Miranda in Hindi too. Comedy flicks are getting successful in Hindi these days with the hits like Heyy Baby, Bheja fry and Welcome. This trend is certain to work in favor of Siddique who will be remaking Sadhu Miranda with a few changes to suit the audience there.
