Pasupathi’s Vedigundu link!

Pasupathi is all excited these days. Following close on heels of the news that he is to play the role of Superstar's friend in his next venture Kuselan is the announcement of Vedigundu Murugesan, where he stars alongside Vadivelu. Vedigundu Murugesan, as the name suggests, is not an explosive thriller.

On the contrary, it is a full-length comedy. Pasupathi plays the title role, the name of which is derived from the character's explosive misdemeanors. The moment people see Murugesan coming, they know he's going to say or do something shocking and hence he is endowed with the title Vedigundu.

Jyothirmayi plays a cop in this comic caper who falls in love with Pasupathi - who is also a small time thief. Produced by Annamalai films, the movie is directed by Moorthy, whose previous effort was Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar. Dheena will score music. With Vadivelu sharing screen with Pasupathi, the movie is expected be a laugh-out-loud comedy.

Vedigundu Murugesan will officially kick off with the Pooja in AVM Studios, tomorrow, January 19, 2008.
