She has now signed a Tamil film to be directed by Fazil. Priyadarshan will be the producer for this project and Prithiviraj has bagged the male lead role. Mamtha wasn’t completely missing from the Tamil film scene as she has been putting her vocal talents to use. She has rendered her voice for Silambarasan’s film Kaalai, releasing this Pongal, under G.V. Prakash’s music. This actress has even won the Andhra Pradesh state award for the best playback singer, 2007, for her song in the Telugu film Rakhi. Now that’s one multitalented actress Tamil fans can’t get enough of.
