STR aka Silambarasan who celebrated his birthday
recently is busy with three significant projects.
Vaanam, a remake of Telugu Vedam, directed
by Krish, is almost complete. STR plays the
lead role along with Bharath, Anushka, Sonia
Agarwal, Vega, Prakash Raj and Saranya. Just
one song Evan Di Unna Pethan has been released
and the song is already a rage. Yuvan scores
music for Vaanam.
Poda Podi, being directed by debutant director
Vignesh Shiva, stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar
opposite STR. This will be the star daughter’s
launch pad into Tamil films. Poda Podi is
touted to be a romantic musical which focuses
on the dance form called Salsa. The first
schedule of this film is over and it is said
to have come out well. Dharan of Paarijatham
fame handles music in Poda Podi.
Adding to this impressive list, STR also has
Vettai Mannan in his kitty. To be directed
by newcomer Nelson, the film is being produced
by S.S. Chakravarthy of NIC Arts banner. The
movie also has actor Jai playing an important
role and is a full-on action comedy. Yuvan
will again be mesmerizing the audience with
his music in Vettai Mannan.
