The
directors who went for the Tamil film festival
in Norway met the press to share their experiences.
Directors S P Jananathan, Mysskin, Sasikumar
and Samudirakani who took part in the Norway
film festival talked about different issues
that attracted them.
While Sasikumar lauded the organizer Vaseegaran
for his Tamil hospitality and the way the film
festival was organized, Mysskin was all praise
for Vaseegaran’s father for his fatherly
approach towards him. Mysskin’s Nandalala
won the People’s choice award during the
festival.
S P Jananathan was fascinated by one particular
film screened in the film festival – 1999,
this film showcased all about the displaced
Tamil population and the hardships they face.
Meanwhile Samudirakani was enthralled by the
film Vanni Eligal. This story revolved around
two rats.
All the four directors were captivated by the
film 1999 and efforts are on to release the
film in Tamil Nadu. |
