A cowboy film in Tamil!

Director Chimbu Devan will don the director’s cap yet again for Erumbuk Kottai Murattu Singam. The film is produced by Kalpathi S Agoram for AGS Film Entertainment at a cost of Rs. 15 crores. Chimbu Devan has Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi and Arai En 305il Kadavul to his credit both of which were produced by Shankar’s S Pictures.

This time around, Chimbu Devan has chosen Ragava Lawrence, Padmapriya, Lakshmi Roy and Nasser

among others to feature in the film. Erumbuk Kottai Murattu Singam is a western adventure comedy based in the 17th century. The Tamil audience will get to see a cowboy movie nearly 38 years later with Erumbuk Kottai Murattu Singam. It may be recalled that the last full length cowboy film was Jai Shankar’s Ganga.

The shooting will commence in March and all the artistes are undergoing rigorous training in horse riding, gun shooting and the like. The team plans to film in Madhya Pradesh and other northern states. According to Chimbu Devan, Erumbuk Kottai Murattu Singam will be a whole new experience to the Tamil audience.
