Rahman wins!!!

The glittering Oscar awards ceremony started off at the Kodak Theatre with the customary Red Carpet laid down for the dignitaries and film personalities.

The show started off with Hugh Jackman hilarious speech. The awards, which were announced by Tina Fey and Steve Martin, began with the announcement of best supporting actress, original screenplay and adapted screenplay categories

With the documentary film Smile Pinky bagging the Best Documentary film and Slumdog Millionaire already bagging four awards, the news flows in that A.R. Rahman has bagged the fifth award! He has won the award for the best original score category! On receving the award Rahman said "Ella Pugazhum Iraivanukke" in Tamil on stage!.
