Evano Oruvan goes to Mumbai

Evano Oruvan, the Tamil flick directed by Nishikant Kamat was inspired from the Marathi film Dombivili Fast, had received plaudits from critical quarters. This film had showcased Madhavan in the role of an ordinary protagonist who goes on a rampage when pushed to the wall. The buzz is that Evano Oruvan after travelling from Marathi to Tamil is on its way to Hindi.

Meanwhile Sanjay Gupta wants to make a film with a similar theme but the inspiration seems to stem from Joel Schumacher’s Falling down. Gupta is keen to have Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. When Maddy was questioned on the similarities of the theme, he opines that interpretation and the treatment could make the films appear different.
