“I prefer Tamil to Malayalam movies”

Anjathe is slowly catching up among buffs and rave reviews from media are helping the movie’s progress. Although it’s been a while his earlier Chithiram Pesudadi created a stir at the box office, Narain wasn’t taking a sabbatical. His Classmates, released last year in Malayalam, was pronounced a hit escalating his status in the Malayalam filmdom too. However, he is not all gung ho about the Malayalam industry.

“I prefer working for Tamil movies than Malayalam,” Narain confessed to the Behindwoods correspondent over a cuppa recently. “Tamil directors are open for experimenting and only in Tamil that new talents are being recognized and given a chance to prove themselves,” Narain added.

This comment certainly does not mean Narain is not taking up any more Malayalam movies. He has a few projects in the pipeline in Malayalam and is a part of the next Kamal (director) movie.

Now that he is a married man, did he receive any criticism from his wife or was her response rave too? “She recently watched Anjathe and told me that she simply loved it although I couldn’t guess if she was just being polite,” Narain quipped in a lighten vein before signing off.
