Directors team up in Aayirathil Oruvan

Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan is being canned in Rajasthan and the film is progressing at a brisk pace. Reema Sen, Karthi and Andrea are coming together in this flick of Selva’s where music is being scored by his pet Yuvan Shankar Raja. Generally in Selva’s film, in addition to the lead actors, the father’s role also would have significant scope for

performance. In Aayirathil Oruvan director turned actor Azhagam Perumal is said to be donning the role of Reema Sen’s father. He was earlier seen in Pudupettai as a politician and his performance attracted widespread appreciation. It was said that his mentor Mani Ratnam too had appreciated his acting prowess.

Later on, in recent times, in Kattradhu Tamil, Azhagam Perumal did the role of Jeeva’s Tamil teacher who was responsible in creating a fiery passion about the language in him. His role in this film also earned many plaudits. Another interesting trivia about Aayirathil Oruvan is that former actor cum director Prathap Pothan is doing the role of a military officer. Looks like the film has rich experience combined with young talent.
