If you notice carefully, this year so far
has been deluded with remakes, not only in
Tamil cinema but in Hindi and Telugu as well.
Nothing else can be as telling an example
of national integration. Here we take a look
at a few of the movies that fall into the
category.
Dabangg's super smash victory is spawning
regional remakes, prominent of them being
Osthe releasing this weekend. Dabangg is also
made in Telugu under the name Gabbar Singh.
Prabhudeva's Pokkiri, which was a Telugu
hit, was remade in Tamil with the same name
and in Hindi as Wanted. Both proved to be
hits.
The Malayalam movie Bodyguard gave Vijay's
career fresh lease of life in Tamil and gave
Salman a sureshot standing at the box office
in Hindi.
Telugu hit Ready was made as Uthamaputhiran
with Dhanush in Tamil and was released under
the same name with Asin and Salman in Hindi.
Kaakha Kaakha was remade in Telugu and the
Hindi version with John Abraham in the lead,
titled Force, recently released and got good
reviews.
