EASAN: ELITE MUSICAL NOTES - THURSDAY TRIVIA
Dec 02, 2010
Easan has garnered enough attention with its young and peppy music. With Sasikumar teaming up with James Vasanthan after Subramaniapuram, there are a lot of expectations surrounding the movie ahead of its release. Let us see a few interesting facts about the movie's songs.

• The 'Jilla Vittu' song, which has been sung by Thanjai Selvi takes us into the villages of the south. In the movie, the folksy number features Sujatha, a successful and famous dancer from Kerala.

• Sujatha is the same ponytailed girl who leaps up and dances in joy in the song 'Kattukuyeelu Manasukkulae' from Thalapathi.

• James Vasanthan had composed the Jilla Vittu song for another movie but while on a discussion on a plane with Sasikumar, he decided to have the song for Easan.

• Easan will also feature famous Malayalam director Blessy. Blessy has won innumerous Kerala state awards and a National award for his film Thanmathra.

• Na. Muthukumar, who has penned the lyrics for the songs, wrote four songs for the movie while he was travelling to different places. Interestingly, none of the songs required further changes.

• During the shoot for a song on the ECR, a gang of men stalked the female lead by chasing her with their cars. It was only when Sasikumar intervened that the men realized that shooting was taking place and later apologized for their act.

• Easan is supposed to be a story that happens within a day's time.
