Ameer
has been issued an ultimatum by the
Madras High Court for the submission
of bank guarantees worth Rs. 50 lakhs
within four weeks. Failing which,
the court warned that Ameer’s
immovable assets will be confiscated.
Earlier, producer Gnanavel Raja filed
a petition in the High Court alleging
that Ameer owes him Rs. 1 crore incurred
by him during the production of Paruthiveeran.
Raja also sought to halt the release
of Ameer’s Yogi.
After hearing the case, the court
had ordered Ameer to issue a bank
guarantee further allowing him to
screen the movie. Ameer went on to
release Yogi without issuing the bank
guarantee that made Gnanavel Raja
approach the court for securing the
same. Further updates awaited in this
issue.
