The trailer launch of Irumbu Kottai
Murattu Singam took place at the
Satyam Theatre complex today. Apart
from the trailer, two songs from
the film were also screened. One
of the songs, Vellakari Kollakaran
has the potential to turn into a
chartbuster. The dance movements
of the film’s hero Lawrence
is worth a special mention.
The trailer proves that IMS will
bring all the elements of a cowboy
film and the Tamil audience will
get to see it after 38 years. It
is worth a mention here that the
last time a cowboy movie that made
it to the silver screen was the
Jai Shankar-starrer Ganga.
The trailer was released by the
veteran film director K Balachandar
and it was received by directors
Balu Mahendra and Cheran.
Speaking at the audio launch, Balu
Mahendra said that it is evident
from the IMS’s trailer that
the magic present in cowboy films
decades ago is intact. He added
that the trailer has raised the
expectation level and he is keen
to watch the film.
Cheran, under whom IMS’s director
Simbudevan apprenticed, said that
the director was keen on working
with the Hollywood director Manoj
Night Shyamalan and was making all
efforts to join him as an assistant.
Cheran vouched that Simbudevan is
the only Tamil director who has
the potential to make it big in
Hollywood. |
