Welfare Board announced

The Tamil Nadu government officially announced today the formation of Film Welfare Board which will function as a welfare body for the Film and TV fraternity and will announce and implement schemes for the benefit of technicians, actors and other professionals, who are employed in sectors related to Film and TV.

Tamil Nadu Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Paruthi Ilam Vazhidi will head the Board with the Director for the Department of Public Relations functioning as the Secretary. Other office bearers include V C Guhanathan, FEFSI President, Abirami Ramanathan - Exhibitors Association President, AVM Balasubramanian, Sivakumar, Kushboo, Sivasakthi Pandiyan, Vaahai Chandrasekar - South Indian Actors Association Treasurer, T G Thyagarajan and Viduthalai - Small Screen Actors Association president.
