The trend of press persons turning to film industry has been on the rise lately. Ameer’s Yogi had Devaraj, a reporter with the popular daily Dinakaran playing an important role.

Now, we have news that Nellai Bharathi, who is associated with Vannathirai Magazine, has entered the filmdom as a lyricist. He has penned the song Retta Retta Manasu, which is set to tune by Jassi Gift.

Tamil Sudar reporter Bala Bharathi has also penned lyrics for the dubbed version of a Telugu film, Kumaran Rajini Rasigan.

It is worth mentioning here that media persons Bismi and Andhanan have already turned into producers.
