Keerthana, a transgender, and Kovai Krishnamoorthy
– the singer also makes their debut
with Naan Kadavul. Two other directors who
made their debut with this film are Acharya
Ravi and Rasaiyya Kannan.
The film features 450 handicapped and senior
citizens of which 48 have never seen a movie
till date. Bala's initiative was lauded at
the World Disabled Day, which was celebrated
in the Villupuram this year. The director
was also applauded for bringing all these
people to Chennai for the dubbing session.
According to the director's sources, a doctor
was specifically assigned to take care of
the senior citizens while they were in Chennai.
Yet another piece of information that we
have about this project is that Ilayaraja,
after seeing the film, refused to disclose
the number of days he would require to complete
the background score. To help the maestro
out, the producer roped in Bollywood musician
Uttam Singh and he worked in tandem with
Ilayaraja.
Audio of the movie is slated to be released
on the New Year’s day, January 1,
and the movie on the Pongal day.
