In less than few days of Nayan having
been shown the door from the Lingusamy
directed Payya, Trisha bagged the
project and is all set to star in
the movie. It is learnt that Nayan
demanded a crore for the movie and
refused any negotiations whatsoever.
The producers, on the other hand,
were ready to shell out 75 lakhs on
her pay check. This tug of
war
eventually ended with the producers finding
a replacement for Nayan. Last heard, Trisha
lapped up the project for 80 lakhs and signed
in the contract papers giving away the required
dates to Tirupathy pictures.
Payya is expected to kick start soon and it
would be Karthi's third venture after the
long-pending Selvaraghavan directed Aayirathil
Oruvan.
