Director couple Pushkar-Gayathri
proved with their very first film that they
are out in Kollywood to make films different
from the rest. So, when they announced their
venture Quarter Cutting, there was a huge
expectation. But there was an apprehension
over this title as it is in English and
would not attract tax sops as per the laws
imposed by the Tamil Nadu state government.
Therefore, the promos of this film came
with the title Va Quarter Cutting. But
recently, the term Quarter Cutting has
been deleted entirely making the title
as Va. But Quarter Cutting has reached
the movie buffs to a great extent that
many are still referring to Va by the
previous name.
Va is being produced by Tamizh Padam
director Amudhan and its distributorship
rights have been acquired by Dayanidhi
Azhagiri.
