A
book on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi,
Kalaignar 87, will be released in Chennai
on Wednesday. Kalaignar 87, a book which has
contributions from 87 eminent personalities
from different walks of life, has been complied
by Smt. Vasanthi Stanley. The Chief Minister
will deliver the acceptance speech while Congress
MLA Peter Alphonse, director Bharathiraja,
Vairamuthu, Dr. Selvaganapathy and actor Parthiban
will felicitate the CM.
The book will be released by Education Minister
K. Anbazhagan in a glittering function organised
at the Music Academy in Mylapore on September
1.
The book, commemorating 87 years of the CM's
dedication, has contributions from President
of India Prathiba Patil, former President
A P J Abdul Kalam, State Governor Surjith
Singh Barnala, Union Minister G. K. Vasan,
former Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, BJP leader
L. K. Advani, PMK founder Ramadoss, DPI general

Kunrakudi Adigalar, Esra Sargunam, Vincent
Chinnadurai, editors of various newspapers
and magazines, cinema personalities like Amitabh
