The Trinity College,
London, for the first time in its history,
will felicitate its alumni from India. Noted
musicians Ilayaraja, Harris Jayaraj, L.
Subramanian, Ganesh Kumar, Mani Sharma and
V.S. Narasimhan will be felicitated at a
function to be held at Lady Andal School,
Chetpet at 7.00 pm on September 1st.
CEO Sarah Kemp, Executive Director Mark
Stringer and Alan Winchcombe (Senior Examiner
for Trinity and Her Majesty's Inspectors)
of Trinity College of London will bestow
the honors on these musicians.
Trinity student and Grammy award winner
Tanvi Shah and her band will perform during
this event. Shekinah Shawn, Anil Srinivasan
and Sikkil Gurucharan will be the other
performers in this event.
A press note states that Musee Musical,
which is organizing this event, is celebrating
their 110th year of Association with Trinity
College.
