A
cricket contest is being held by the Patta
Patti crew as a part of the film’s promo.
The film has former cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh
playing the lead and it is based on cricket
and hence this unique way of promotion has
been adopted.
The cricket contest is being held in all
major cities in Tamil Nadu. The contest among
the Chennai cricket teams was held yesterday
(August 1st, 2010) so that it coincided with
the Friendship Day. The match began at around
4 pm at the Trustpuram play ground in Kodambakkam.
Sadagopan Ramesh, the film’s director Yuvaraj,
and stars that acted in Patta Patti were honored
by the film’s producer V Muraliraman.
Arul Cricket Club won the match by defeating
Vijay Cricket Club. The finals will be held
on August 14 and 15th and the winning team
will get a cash prize of 1 lakh.
