Pa Angamuthu, former MLC and head of the
Slum Clearance Board passed away in the
early hours of the morning on Tuesday, August
3,2010. Angamuthu,81, was a member of the
FEFSI and is survived by 2 sons (Thirumalvalavan
and Shanmugam) and 5 daughters. One of his
sons Shanmugam is a popular art director
and is the treasurer of the FEFSI
Angamuthu was a famous art director during
his heydays and some of his memorable work
can be seen in films like Ulagam Suttrum
Valiban and Avan Piththana. He has also
produced over 10 films. We offer our condolences
to Mr. Angamuthu’s family for their loss.
