The wait for the Avathar!

Sathyam cinemas hosted an exclusive sneak preview of Avathar, an upcoming 3D animation extravaganza movie by Titanic director James Cameroon on Friday, August 28, 2009. The movie, touted to be the fourth most expensive movie to be made in the world in $237 million, will see a worldwide premiere in December 2009. The preview contained a foreword by James himself and few significant scenes from the movie without any major spoilers. The 3D sci-fi epic film is distributed by 20th Century Fox and Cameron's film in 12 years after the famed Titanic in 1997.

The event saw a decent turn out of Kollywood glitterati inlcuding director Vishnu Vardhan.
