The Sri Lankan Resettlement and
Disaster Relief Services Minister
Abdul Risath Bathiyutheen has stirred
the hornet’s nest by alleging
that most of the Tamil films inducing
Rajini starrers have been funded
by the LTTE. He was quoted as having
said to the www.asiantribune.com:
“Millions and millions of
US dollars were given to a London-based
Tamilian. He was asked to produce
Tamil films in Chennai with top
stars like Rajinikanth.”
However, Rajini’s office declined
to comment on the issue. When Hansraj
Saxena, COO, Sun Films, was asked
about this, he said that connecting
Endhiran to this allegation would
be the “biggest joke of the
year.”
