AR Rahman had congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the World Cup match against Sir Lanka. The Oscar winning music director has reportedly said, “Jai Ho, India for winning the World Cup!”
It is worth noting here that the Wankhede was reverberating with Rahman’s Vande Matram when the match reached the crucial stage.
Soon after India lifted the World Cup, Bollywood star and avid cricket enthusiast Shah Rukh Khan emerged out of his home in Mumbai and cheerfully shouted Chak De India, his famous catchphrase from the film Chak De India.
