The
villain of Sura, Dev Gill says that he has become
very close to Vijay during the shooting of the
film. Recalling how he bagged the offer, Dev
says that it was Vijay who had insisted that
he be offered the role after seeing his performance
in the Telugu smash hit Magadheera.
The actor was initially apprehensive of taking
up the role but it was Ilayathalapathy that
gave him the confidence. “Our relationship
was initially very professional but during the
course of the shoots we became close friends,”
says Dev.
