Film
distributors in Kollywood have now come up with
a new condition that will puzzle well-established
stars. According to the new decision, if a film
made on a budget crossing over Rs. 10 crore
bombs at the box office, the actor should be
signed up again immediately by the same producer
to make good the losses incurred. Further, the
film should be distributed and screened by the
same distributors and theatres respectively.
Though the decision is based on the premise
to save Tamil cinema from losses, it needs to
be seen how feasible this new rule would be
when put into practice. |
