Mayandi
Kudumbathaar audio, which was kept
in the wraps for the release of
director Seeman, was finally released
at the AVM theatre. The event kick-started
before Seeman reached the location
in the evening. However, the director
joined the audio release just as
it progressed.
With Raasu Maduravan introducing
the team, Tarun Gopi, who plays
the lead in Mayandi Kudumbathaar
took over. In his speech, he stated
that the 10 directors, featured
in the movie became close friends
towards the end of the movie. Recounting
his days as the director in comparison
with his present role as an actor,
Gopi said that the new-age directors
are better looking than most heroes
and should try their hand at acting.
“When I was asked to do a
fight scene on the rope, I was shocked
and thought about what the hero
of my last movie (Kaalai) said.
He made a big fuss over the scene
making me believe that it’s
a very tough job. However, when
I did it myself, I realized that
the whining was not its worth. Same
way, the same hero would make faces
to change into costumes. We, in
Mayandi Kudumbathar, on the other
hand changed costumes by the side
of the road and carried on with
our work. The awe and needless respect
and attention we shower over our
heroes are just appalling,”
Tarun declared.
Seeman arrived towards the end of
the program and remembered his jail
days after releasing the audio with
Ameer. He stated that in the 70
days he was in the jail, he met
only nice people as opposed to the
people he met outside the jail.
“I keep myself updated on
the news about Tamils in jail and
shed tears for them,” he revealed.
Seeman also announced his plans
of canvassing against the Congress
Party in the LS elections. He also
added that after MGR, the LTTE leader
Prabhakaran is the only real leader
for the Tamils. “I have no
fear to announce this in public
since I think the government would
not dare to arrest me again, as
this is the election time,”
declared Seeman. |
