Dhanush the next Kadhal Mannan

The director of Kutty, Jawahar said that he and Dhanush liked the Telugu film Arya so much that they decided on its Tamil remake instantaneously. Arya was a smash hit in Telugu and the duo expects the magic to rub off in Tamil too. Dhanush, for the first time, will be seen as a college student in this film. Moreover, this out-and-out romantic flick will not have action sequences at all.

Jawahar says that Dhanush’s new facet will be evident in Kutty. He added that being a romantic film, Dhanush could be a strong contender to titles like Kadhal Mannan.

Speaking of Shriya Saran’s performance, Jawahar said that her glamour quotient has been lessened and she has more room for showing her acting skills. Kutty has Devi Sri Prasad scoring music.
