Film star arrested

Tamil and Telugu film star, Dr. Rajasekhar, known for his films like Idhuthanda Police, has been arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police yesterday (10-04-09). The actor had been actively involved in campaigning for the Congress Party over the past few days along with his wife, actress Jeevitha.

Reportedly, Dr. Rajasekhar had violated the model code of conduct during a campaign in Srikakulam. As per police sources, the actor had sought votes in the

name of caste. Due to this, he had been arrested after a formal complaint was lodged in the Tekkali police station. However, Dr. Rajasekhar was released on bail immediately.
