Overseas award for Achchamundu! Achchamundu!

The upcoming Prasanna-Sneha starrer Achchamundu! Achchamundu! received the Best Homegrown Feature Film at the Garden State Film Festival in New Jersey. Directed by debutante Arun Vaidyanathan and produced jointly by Asma Hashmi, Ananth Govindhan, Srinivasan Perumal, Ramzan Lakhani and the director himself, the film tells the story of a South Indian Tamil immigrant family living in the US and the impact of its desire to adapt certain cultural values to assimilate into the American fabric. Besides Prasanna and Sneha the film also stars Emmy Award winner John Shea in an important role. With having already won an honor, Achchamundu Achchamundu is gearing up for a summer 2009 release, raising expectations of a good fare.
