Ajith’s Asal shooting to commence!

Ultimate Star’s next film Asal is all set to go on floors. The film will see the Ajith-Saran combination together for the third time after Amarkkalam and Attagasam. Asal will be made under the banner of Sivaji Productions. After Aegan, it took a while for Asal to be finalized as Ajith’s next project. Talks were on for a long time with director Gautham Menon which did not materialize due to differences between him and Sivaji Productions before old reliable Saran was called upon. The director was then busy with the Vinay

starrer Modhi Vilaiyaadu. Now that the works of the film are almost over with the final lap progressing in Dubai, the shoots of Asal are being planned.

Asal’s pooja will take place at Sivaji’s family residence (Annai Illam) located at Sivaji Ganesan Salai at around 9.30 a.m on April 8. The event will be attended by Ajith, Saran, Prabu, Ramkumar, Vairamuthu, Yugi Sethu, Bharadwaj, Antony and M Prabhakar.

The photo shoot of Asal was held sometime back with Ajith and Sameera Reddy who will be doing her second Tamil film after Vaaranum Aayiram. Ajith’s new look with ‘handlebar sideburns’ are one of the highlights of the movie where he will reportedly be playing an international don. The composer for the film is yet to be decided. Harris Jeyaraj was said to have been booked first, but was then replaced by Yuvan Shankar Raja, now there is news that Bhardwaj (a regular in Saran’s projects) has taken up the role.
