Prakash Raj gets a second chance…

Moser Baer India Limited, Duet Movies and Mirchi Movies Limited together produced Vellithirai, which featured Prakash Raj, Prithviraj, Gopika and Lakshmi Rai. This film, which is a remake of a Malayalam hit Udayananu Tharam, got a good reception in urban centers, and bit much acceptance among the B and C centre audience. It also received good reviews.

In an effort to establish itself strongly in southern India, Mirchi Movies now intends to release Vellithirai on May 2, 2008 in cities like Ahmedabad, Baroda, Delhi, Goa, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata with English subtitles. Meanwhile, the film’s director Viji is working towards his next project and is awaiting the dates of Prithviraj, report sources.
