Mysskin’s next film’s storyline

After Chithiram Pesuthadi, Mysskin had a pet screenplay he wanted to make at once. It was called Nandhalala, and he shopped it to various producers who showed little interest in it. Many advised him to do a commercial film first and then turn to something different. Anjaathe was born out of Mysskin’s frustration and anger that he wasn’t able to make

something he liked. But Anjaathe was a critical and commercial hit.

This reminds one of Francis Ford Coppola and The Godfather. Coppola wanted to make a slightly arty film but Hollywood said he had to fulfill his contract by first making a gangster movie, then he was free to make is own kind of movie. The Godfather, too, was born out of Coppola’s anger. And it, too, was a masterpiece.

In Nandhalala, Mysskin himself acts as a young man who travels with a six year old boy. Both of them are searching for their mothers. On the way the little boy and the young man meet 32 people whose life they affect. In turn, their lives are touched by these 32 people they encounter on the way.
