“No more mundane films,” says Selvaragahavan

The delay in Selvaragahavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan had everyone wondering what could be wrong with the project. The director, to clear the air, has come out with a statement that he does not want to be associated with run-on-the-mill projects anymore. “I want Aayirathil Oruvan to go beyond anyone’s imagination. And I am working on

that,” he said. Thoroughly frustrated with churning out mundane films, perhaps the director would come out with something unique this time.

For the question as to why he decided to part ways with Yuvan Shankar Raja after producing many hits together, Selvaragahavan said that he preferred a full-time music director of his own. “Another reason is that both of us are busy within our own spheres and could not accommodate each other within a particular time frame,” he disclosed.
