Bharathiraja targets Rajinikanth

Director Bharathiraja's foray into the small screen has been confirmed with his mega serial Thekkathi Ponnu all set to be televised from April 14, 2008 on Kalaignar TV. Addressing a press meet in this regard, media persons had a field day throwing him a volley of questions. Notable among them is about his conspicuous absence at the hunger strike

protesting against Karnataka's stance in the Hogenakkal issue. Targeting Rajini, he said that when the film personalities and technicians conducted a rally a few years ago in Neyveli, protesting against the Cauvery issue, almost all those associated with the film industry were present. But the very next day a fast was observed by the superstar for no apparent reason. "If the film associations seek any explanation from me, then I would also demand an explanation for that fast," he thundered. Bharathiraja also clarified that he had not sent his reason of absence so far. Is this going to be another conflict?
