Ameer injured: says ‘mind over matter’

Director turned actor, Ameer was injured here in Chennai on Thursday during the shooting of his first acting venture Yogi being directed by Subrahmaniam Siva. Shooting was progressing in Triplicane on the premises of Aavanna garden, an old iron godown where Ameer was required to make a jump from a considerable height. Ameer

suffered injuries to his right hand upon performing this stunt that was being supervised by Ram Kumar, who had previously worked with Ameer in Paruthiveeran.

The director was immediately taken to the nearby Isabella hospital where he was attended to by Dr. Bhakthavatchalam who advised a week’s complete rest. However, Ameer has put on a brave front and said that he will be ready to shoot in a couple of days. That’s mind over matter for you.
