Declared as the longest ever space mission
of Endeavor, this flight also had a record
five spacewalks. Space shuttles Endeavor
and Discovery are being planned to be relieved
off their services in two years time and
hence scientists are scheduling for the
completion of setting up the Kibo Laboratory
before that. Shuttle Discovery’s flight
to the space is planned for May 2008.
Japan will control the Kibo module from
its center near Tokyo with support crews
working from various parts of the globe
including USA, Russia, and Germany supervising
the installation from earth.
Endeavour made a landing at NASA’s
Kennedy Space Center Fla, after spending
6.6 million miles in space.
