Namitha with super star

Namitha, the buxom seductress of Kollywood would be joining hands with the lady super star of Telugu Films, Vijaya Shanthi in a – you guessed it right- Shakthi Chidambaram’s film. This director has time and again reiterated his fondness and loyalty to Namitha who has become a constant in all his films. In the recently released Sandai,

her Karagattam number has made many a heartbeat skip. Now his next film is titled Idi, an indicator of the thunderous response Namitha receives from her fans and the film will feature two hot item numbers of hers for which the music will be scored by Imman. Namitha would be paired with Sundar C and grapevine buzzes that he has been paid a hefty sum for this film.

An interesting trivia about this film is that Vijaya Shanthi has been approached to play a pivotal role in the film. While talking about Idi, Shakthi Chidambaram says, “I have always been making films giving importance to comedy. But this did not give me the necessary footage and leverage in the industry. Hence I have decided to shift my focus to action films and I felt that Vijaya Shanthi would be the right choice for an important character in my film. Discussions are going on with the lady super star and I am positive about her reply.”
