The summer rush has already begun in some
parts of the country with some makers opting
for a head start that seems to have paid
off. In Bollywood, Race took a 10 day jump
start that has proved immensely beneficial
while One Two Three followed suit the next
week- and going by the look of things it
too will not fare badly. A jump-start was
seen in Kerala too where Dileep’s
summer offering Mulla opened in the final
week of March to avoid a confrontation with
the superstars of the industry.
The first big release of April was in Tollywood
where Power Star (Chiranjeevi’s younger
brother) Pawan Kalyan’s long awaited
Jalsa has just hits screens. This will be
followed by the Malayalam Vishu specials
that include Mohanlal’s Innathe Chinthavishayam
and Mamotty’s Annan Thampy, both carrying
huge expectations. Then comes Bollywood
with a barrage of April releases lead by
Ajay Devgan’s U Me Aur Hum and Rakesh
Roshan’s Krazzy 4 which will clash
on the 11th. Then come Bhoothnath, Alibaug
and a few more until April is grandly capped
off by Yashraj’s first release of
the year Tashan.
