Although the government has declared otherwise,
the fervor with which the Tamil New Year’s
Day is celebrated does not seem to have
dwindled in Tamil Nadu. It is a declared
public holiday owing to Dr. Ambedkar’s
birthday anyways and hence all the more
reason to relish the unexpected break
from work.
On the other hand, it’s not the
same with the new releases that numbers
to a measly two. Both of which are Sundar
C starrers – Guru Shishyan and Vaada.,
which releases on April 16th. We would
hope that those two turn out to be firecrackers
complementing the New Year fever. Sundar
is trying out his hand at comedy in Vaada
and he has the boisterous Sathyaraj for
company in Guru Shishyan. While the former
is directed by A Venkatesh, Shakthi Chidambaram
has donned the director’s robe for
the latter.
Both movies are targeted at the B and
C Center audiences and the back-to-back
releases are expected to appease Sundar
C’s front-benchers. After all, there
sure are bound to be scenes to hoot and
make cat calls at. Read the previews of
these two movies in the preview link.
On the same note, Behindwoods.com extends
its wishes for a Happy Chithrai Thirunal
and Vishu.
